Speech-Language Therapy

Speech and language therapy is an essential part of a child's development.  "The professionals who are educated to assess speech and language development and to  treat speech and language disorders are called speech-language pathologists (sometimes informally referred to as speech therapists). Speech-language pathologists can also help people with swallowing disorders" (ASHA).  Therapy sessions can take place in a variety of settings (home, clinic, school, etc.).  The typical duration for a therapy session is thirty minutes to an hour.  Visits can be up to three times per week.
